Authorities in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, conducted a major drug bust at two smoke shops, seizing more than 1,000 pounds of cannabis and related products valued at $1.7 million. The operation followed an investigation into deceptive practices, including the use of a chute from a neighboring apartment to store illegal goods. 

Police closed the Love Story smoke shop on Broadway and confiscated $20,000 in cash during the raid. Three people were arrested as a result of the search, and community members expressed little surprise at the news, noting the high demand for such products.

We start tonight with a massive drug bust at two smoke shops worth $1.7 million. Good to be with you on News 12 Brooklyn. I'm Amanda Bossert and News 12 Morgan Scott was at one of those shops that was raided with the latest Morgan. While police put a hold on operations at the Love Story smoke shop on Broadway, customers were not very pleased to hear of what happened. The gate to the smoke shop is completely down and the doors are officially closed. Per the notice you see out front inside was where authority sees some of more than £1000 of cannabis and related products were told it stemmed from an ongoing investigation into deceptive practices where the shop used the connective shoot from a second story apartment next door to store illegal products. An estimated $1.7 million worth of illegal contraband was seized as well as $20,000 removed from the location. It's interesting, but you know, it's something that is expensive. So and people out here feeding for it. So it's like, you know, I'm not surprised. Three people were arrested as a result of the search in studio Morgan Scott News 12 Brooklyn.
