As conflict continues in Ukraine, at least three individuals have reportedly lost their lives in a recent overnight Russian drone attack targeting Kyiv. Ukraine's state emergency services reported that remnants of a drone struck a 10-story residential building, resulting in fires and damage across multiple floors. The assault further caused damage to several private houses, a shop, and three vehicles. 

In parallel to the ongoing violence, political figures have weighed in on the situation. Former U.S. President Donald Trump has drawn attention with his comments, attributing blame for the war to both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump remarked on the financial burden the United States has shouldered in aid expenses, noting that the U.S. spent $200 billion more than Europe. He criticized current President Joe Biden for not demanding more financial support from European nations.

Ukrainian President Zelensky has recently engaged in discussions with European leaders about the possibility of deploying NATO peacekeeping forces to Ukraine if a peace agreement is achieved. Meanwhile, Russia has expressed strong opposition to this idea, warning that it might provoke uncontrolled escalation.

You know, if he's no angel, he shouldn't have allowed this war to happen. First of all, he's fighting a much bigger entity, okay? Much bigger. When he was, you know, talking so brave and so on. Now, two things happened. They were brave, but we gave them billions of dollars. The United States spent $200 billion more than Europe. Why did we spend more? You know why? Because Biden never asked Europe to spend more. In the interview, Donald Trump also reiterated his intention to heavily sanction Russia if a deal is not reached to end the war. Zelensky has held several meetings with European leaders in recent weeks about the possibility of sending NATO peacekeeping troops to Ukraine in the event of a peace deal. Russia, however, has strongly opposed this prospect, saying it would lead to uncontrolled escalation.

Multiple media outlets in Israel have reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants a complete military takeover of Gaza, while almost 600 former Israeli military and security officials are petitioning Washington to stop the fighting.
