A cold front moving across the southeastern United States has triggered widespread thunderstorms, resulting in heavy rainfall and an increased risk of flooding. While severe thunderstorm warnings were initially issued in states including Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and along the Gulf Coast, most have since expired.

Flood warnings are now in effect across much of the region as rain continues to fall on already saturated ground. Areas such as Atlanta, Montgomery, Jackson, and Gulfport have experienced significant rainfall, with authorities monitoring the situation closely as the storms gradually lose intensity but continue to pose a flooding threat.
