The FBI is leading the investigation and is reviewing evidence, including online posts and a manifesto attributed to Bartkus.

Authorities report that Bartkus made online statements and participated in forums where he discussed experimenting with explosives. Investigators have linked his statements to nihilistic motivations and are examining a recording in which a man outlines his intention to attack a fertility facility. Law enforcement is also investigating what they have called an anti-pro-life manifesto.

The fertility clinic has confirmed that all eggs, embryos, and reproductive materials remain undamaged. Police are asking the public to assist in reconstructing Bartkus's movements prior to the explosion. Authorities believe Bartkus attempted to live stream the attack, noting a pattern seen in other recent violent incidents.
