The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Launch Complex 39A, with the first stage booster executing a precise landing at Landing Zone 1, marking the 53rd and final use of this landing pad by SpaceX due to updated requirements from the U.S. Space Force.

The Crew-11 team consists of commander Xena Cardman, pilot Mike Finke—an experienced astronaut with over a year in space—a Russian cosmonaut, and a Japanese astronaut. The crew was assembled following recent changes in mission assignments, with Cardman originally slated for a different mission. The Falcon 9 booster used in this launch had previously flown in June and was successfully reused for this mission.
