A fare hike of 21.5 percent is also scheduled, and SEPTA employees will be stationed at major transit hubs to assist riders with the transition. 

Despite hopes from some commuters that state lawmakers might intervene with additional funding, there has been no indication of approved support from Harrisburg. SEPTA has acknowledged the disruption these changes will cause and is working to help riders adjust to the new schedules. Riders are encouraged to seek information from SEPTA ambassadors and the agency's website as the changes take effect.
