Streets that would typically be lively with Eid preparations are overshadowed by the memory of lost loved ones and widespread destruction. In recent hostilities, over 890 Palestinians have been killed since the onset of Israel's renewed offensive.

Despite the dire circumstances, some Gazans strive to bring moments of happiness to their children. In a displacement camp in Jabalia, women have been baking traditional cookies, hoping to bring a semblance of normalcy and joy. They emphasize the importance of keeping spirits high for their children's sake, even as they live in tents without a home.

The situation remains critical, with Gaza under a complete Israeli blockade restricting food and supplies for weeks. Although there have been indications from Egyptian mediators that Israel may be open to a new ceasefire proposal, there has been no immediate response from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on this matter.
