India and Pakistan have exchanged fire following a period of heightened tensions along their shared border. According to the Pakistani military, Indian attack drones entered Pakistani territory and killed at least two civilians. India has accused Pakistan of attempting its own attacks, including a drone and missile strike on the Indian region of Kashmir.

Authorities in Jammu reported damage and civilian fear following what they described as a Pakistani attack. Both sides continue to blame each other for the escalation, with India citing a previous terrorist incident on its soil as the cause of its cross-border drone strikes targeting what it identifies as military sites. Pakistan, however, denies involvement in the April attack and accuses India of unprovoked aggression, alleging that Indian drone raids have killed over 30 people in recent days.

Civilians in affected areas such as Wagah have begun to relocate to safer locations amid concerns over continued hostilities. Indian officials maintain that their operations are aimed solely at terrorist infrastructure and not civilians, while Pakistan also claims not to target civilian populations but warns of retaliation against military sites if Indian actions persist.

The ongoing hostilities have drawn concern from the international community. Major powers including the United States, Russia, and China have called for calm between India and Pakistan, both of which possess nuclear weapons.
