In addition to Erin, the National Hurricane Center is keeping a close eye on two tropical waves in the Atlantic. The tropical wave could develop into a tropical depression by the end of the week as it passes the Leeward Islands on Friday.

The National Hurricane Center is currently monitoring two tropical waves in the Atlantic Ocean, both of which have a significant chance of developing into tropical depressions. One of the systems, following a similar path to a previous storm named Aaron, has a 60% chance of development, while the other, near the southern edge of the Cabo Verde Islands, has a 30% chance. 

Meteorologists note that both systems are showing signs of organization, with one appearing more compact and symmetrical on satellite imagery. The presence of Saharan dust is also affecting the development of these systems. Forecasters will continue to observe their westward movement and potential impacts on the Caribbean region.
