This operation was carried out under the directive of King Mohammed VI, chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to support civilians affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. 

The shipment was transported via the Karem Shalom crossing and received by the Palestinian Red Crescent, which will oversee its distribution in the most affected areas. Other countries, such as Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, France, and the United Kingdom, have also contributed humanitarian assistance to Gaza through recent airdrops.
