India stated it had targeted Pakistani air bases, while a Pakistani admission confirmed that missiles were launched at air bases and a missile storage facility.

An Indian military colonel indicated that Pakistan had previously fired at health and school sites located near three air bases in Kashmir. The conflict, which has recently intensified, has seen both fighter jets and drones deployed by the two countries. In the weeks prior, a massacre in Indian-administered Kashmir left 26 tourists dead, with Indian authorities alleging Pakistani involvement—an accusation Pakistan denies.

International attention has focused on the situation, with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio urging both sides to de-escalate tensions to prevent further escalation. The long-standing dispute over the Kashmir region has previously led to three wars between India and Pakistan since the 1940s, resulting in an estimated 10,000 deaths. In recent days, reports indicate that dozens more have lost their lives amid renewed violence.
