The United Nations described the devastation as unprecedented, with significant damage to infrastructure, property, and essential services such as energy and network connectivity. AccuWeather estimated the economic loss at $22 billion, with more than three-quarters of Jamaica left without electricity. Recovery efforts have begun, but experts estimate that full reconstruction could take up to ten years.
