A former counselor from the Poudre School District in Colorado, Cassandra Ponce Ligo, has been arrested on allegations of sexually assaulting a student. Police reports indicate the alleged inappropriate relationship occurred while the victim was a minor, though the victim is now an adult.

Authorities have stated that there may be additional victims and are encouraging anyone with relevant information to contact Fort Collins Police. Ligo was employed by the district from 2007 through 2024.
