The video, reportedly filmed in 2023, also depicts a soldier holding the flag of the Royal 22nd Regiment and apparently consuming a drug. Military police are investigating the incident, but no charges have been filed at this stage.

This is not the first time Canadian military members have faced scrutiny for extremist behavior. Other recent investigations include charges against several individuals in Quebec for alleged involvement in an anti-government plot and a probe into a private Facebook group with racist content. Military leadership has reiterated that such conduct is unacceptable and that policies are in place requiring personnel to report inappropriate behavior.
