According to the health ministry of the Hamas-controlled territory, the tragic outcome of the attack included the death of 14 individuals, among whom were children.

It's usually a day of celebration and feasting with family, but there was none of that this year on the Eid holiday in Gaza. Instead, Palestinians across the Strip marked the end of Ramadan with a trip to the cemetery to visit the graves of relatives killed in the Israeli invasion. They killed our happiness and the joy of Ramadan and Eid. They have deprived us of too much. We came here to say goodbye to our children and others here. Everyone is here. With many mosques destroyed in the bombardment, Palestinians gathered for the Eid prayer wherever they could, such as in this school-turned-shelter. In this camp for displaced people near Rafah, children queued up to get their faces painted. As overhead, aid packages were dropped. Amid all the loss and destruction of the last six months, Gazans say it doesn't feel like Eid. What joy could find its way into our hearts when our children are gone. What joy. You can see how we're living. This is a black Eid for us. Israel said 468 aid trucks, a record since the war began, were allowed into Gaza on the eve of the holiday. Still a long way from enough for the besieged territory, which saw no let-up from airstrikes on Wednesday, with the Israeli army confirming it had struck several targets.

Search and rescue operations continued overnight after flash floods slammed central Texas, killing dozens, officials said. More than 20 children are still missing from Camp Mystic, an all-girls camp hit by the floods, the Kerr County sheriff said.
